I'd like to personally like to thank each and every person that attended
our derby. Without you guys this awesome weekend would not have been
possible.
The weather co-operated, pretty much everyone was
riding safely (helmets, limiting the drinking etc), and we had a great turnout.
After our post-derby meeting we'll have a better idea as to what the exact
numbers are, and I'll post them here.
The guys running the Can-Am setup
(thank you Enns Brothers and Marc!) were telling us that the biggest derby
they'd been to prior to ours (Canada-wide) was about 1000 quads strong in
Quebec. We've got that beat.
We had riders make a special trip from Kelowna,
BC, and I hear from as far as Iowa as well. I tried to ask for as much
input as possible, and 99% of it was positive.We really worked hard to put
on the best derby possible, and we're all elated to hear that you had a great
time.Please, if you can think of any suggestions for next year,
let's hear 'em.My goal is to have the DVD's ready within a
month.I do have a favour to ask though - if you entered the obstacle
course, and/or the drag races, can you please email me your information? (Name,
info about your machine, what you entered). We mistakenly threw out the waivers
that had all of that information. I'd like to put some of that info on our DVD,
